Call of Duty companion app arrives for iOS and Android

For those who just can’t get enough Call of Duty comes the companion app from Activision. Now you can keep up with your squad on the go.

Call of the road

Love Call of Duty, but can’t stay glued to your TV for weeks at a time? Hey, Activision hears you, and has a handy dandy app ready. The Call of Duty Companion App offers everything a CoD fan could want, with the exception of being able to actually play.

Available right now via free download on iOS and Android handsets, gamers will find that the app includes “personalized recaps, briefs and gameplay tips based on their play.” So you might actually be able to be a better CoD player with this. Not bad. Additionally, you’ll be able to actually keep current with your squad.

The app will also allow users to “compete for squad rewards, receive personalized intel, and be the first to learn about Call of Duty news”. It’s both informative and interactive. Sounds like it might be a win-win for fans of the franchise, and the newest in the line, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Hit the Activision game blog for more, or go ahead and search the app right now on your phone. Again, it’s a free download.
