Big Apple Comic Con announces guests for March 2019 show

Big Apple Comic Con announced their first volley of guests this week, with several big names sprinkled throughout. William Shatner, Frank Cho, and more will attend.

Big names for a smaller Con

Old school comic cons don’t get much more… old school than Big Apple. In the 80s and 90s, cons were all about comics, with some cool toys and collectibles sprinkled throughout. They weren’t the massive “entertainment” events that they are today. Even SDCC was that way come to think of it, more or less, and there was no NYCC.

Now though, all that’s changed. Well, most of it. There are still cons that hold to the old way of doing things, and Big Apple is one of those. The convention is situated right across the street from Penn Station in NYC, and remains small and comic-focused. That’s not to say that there won’t be some big names appearing at the show this year though.

Big Apple has announced a slate of creators and celebs, including some that are downright massive.

Showing up at BACC will be:

  • William Shatner
  • Jim Steranko
  • Sean Chen
  • Brian Kong
  • Bill Griffith
  • Tony Isabella
  • Frank Cho
  • Mike Diana
  • John Orlando
  • David Gerrold
  • Robert J. Sodaro
  • Diane Noomin
  • Adam Air Williams
  • Larry Welz
  • Dan Fogle

All of the above will be on hand during the length of the show too, so you’ll have multiple chances to see them. Located at Penn Plaza Pavilion, Big Apple Comic Con is schedule to run March 9th and 10th of 2019.
