Blizzard might’ve just revealed a new Diablo with Reign of Terror

What exactly Diablo Reign of Terror is, we’re not sure. It’s definitely something though, as merchandise has emerged bearing the name.

So this particular Diablo-flavored news is a little more mysterious than your standard reveal. It actually might not even be a reveal, we don’t know. Either way, it assuredly wasn’t intentional.

IGN has reported that the online Blizzard store for the upcoming BlizzCon broke the (maybe) news. There are two products there that have “Diablo Reign of Terror” as a title, and that’s where the speculation is coming in.

Both a poster and a tee ( both men’s and women’s) bear the name, with a pretty standard image of the classic Diablo splashed across them. Nothing has been called that before in the Diablo line, so it’s interesting to see. It might signal something new.

Diablo III could possibly be getting an expansion, or there may be a whole new game called Reign of Terror. It’s been rumored pretty heavily that there are several Diablo projects coming after all. This could easily be one of them.

Also lending credence to something new is that there’s a panel at the Con called “Diablo: What’s Next?”. In it, Blizzard will reportedly be talking about what heroes of Sanctuary will be getting up to. So the pieces kind of fit together.

Either way it goes, we’ll find out soon. BlizzCon hits at the top of November.
