Marvel slowly reveals its new Guardians of the Galaxy team

The Guardians of the Galaxy are in flux. The team is being ripped apart in Infinity Wars, and now tumbles towards a massive re-casting.

Guardians of the Galaxy return

The old Guardians team, with Star Lord, Gamora, and all the rest, are seemingly done. Undone by Infinity Wars, the team as we all know it looks to be ending. In that team’s place however is a new one, or at least there will be. And no, I’m not talking about the Asgardians of the Galaxy. That’s something else.

We’ve seen a monster preview image, with loads of cosmic Marvel characters, and it looks like some of those characters will indeed find homes on the new team. So far anyway, it’s shaping up to be a powerful squad.

Marvel is slowly revealing the constitution of the team, and has taken the shroud of darkness off of four participants. Beta Ray Bill, Moondragon, Cosmic Ghost Rider, and the Shi’ar classic Gladiator are all on the roster.

So who else will be joining? Well, you can probably make some guesses based on those silhouettes. But if you’re waiting on definitive word, I’m sure we’ll have more reveals by tomorrow. Maybe even by later today.

Edit: Well that was prophetic. Three more team members were announced this afternoon, including Darkhawk, who’s apparently sticking around.
