With the turn-based RPG hitting consoles soon, Larian has released a final pre-release look at Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition.
Is that a long title, or is it just me?
Have to say, this game looks phenomenal. I haven’t played a Divinity title in years, but they just keep getting better looking and this Definitive Edition of Original Sin 2 certainly seems like it might be the best one yet.
Players will find all new elements in this DE version, including “all new moves, spells, and environments to exploit against enemies’ weaknesses.” There’s also that two player couch co-op and online four player action, and the arena, if you want to go head to head.
Developer Larian Studios is promising a fully upgraded game with this new release. It’s based on a game that was already pretty great, earning much acclaim on the PC. In addition to the above, you can also expect 4K and HDR support, and a completely re-written third act. Kind of insane, that.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition lands on the PS4 and Xbox One on August 31st, but there’s a reason to still pre-order. Larian says that if you order before launch, you’ll get “Sir Lora, who requests your help from the Knights of Drey”. Who’s Sir Lora?
He’s a squirrel companion. No, really. He’ll unlock some stuff for you too, like “skill-crafting recipes”. Oh, and also, with him along, you “will get the opportunity to dive deeper into the mysteries surrounding the Great Acorn!” Who can refuse that?!
