May Games with Gold: Metal Gear Solid 5, Super Mega Baseball 2, Streets of Rage

The announcement for May’s Games with Gold have been revealed. Next month, Xbox Live Gold Members will be able to download, Super Mega Baseball 2 and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain on the Xbox One and Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage and Vanquish for the Xbox 360. So sit back and get into the swing of things starting on May 1st.

Pick Up Super Mega Baseball 2 and Streets of Rage

Smash them out of the park starting on May 1st with Super Mega Baseball 2, the follow up to the smash hit, Super Mega Baseball. This seemingly easy-to-play baseball sim is a fun and quirky take on a rather complex sport. Children and adults with slow reaction times should get a real bang for their buck with this blockbuster. Take a trip down memory lane with the Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage.

Travel back to the late 1980s and early 1990s with this classic title from Sega, Streets of Rage. Relive the adventures of Axel and Blaze as they take on Mr. X and his group of evil goons. Take the fight to the streets in Streets of Rage, Streets of Rage 2 and Streets of Rage 3. Players can pick this up starting on May 1st through the backward compatibility program. Then starting on May 15th, there is a whole new type of pain coming to Games with Gold – some would say it is a phantom pain.

Pick Up Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Vanquish

It is the year 1984 and Snake, a.k.a Big BOss, has just woken up from a nine-year coma. Join Big Boss as he exacts his revenge while trying to build up a private army. With this iteration of the MGS series, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, introduced the first time an open-world approach was implemented into the gameplay. Big Boss gets to ride around on a horse and explore as the Cold War unfolds around him. Make sure not to miss out when this game drops for free. Last but certain not least, make sure to pick up Vanquish for an intense game full of robot-on-robot action.

Get your robot on with Vanquish from SEGAAmerica. This third-person shooter is like a mid-morning adventure staring John McClane – if McClane had a kick ass robot suit. Players will have plenty of guns, grenades and blades available at their disposal to make sure the evil robot baddies can’t take over America, or something along those lines.
