Back for another universe-building video for Wolfenstein II is Bethesda, as they introduce Blitzmensch.
In the world of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, the TV show Blitzmensch subverts the heroic American archetype and twists it into propaganda to fit the needs of the Nazi regime. Blitzmensch might be masquerading as family-friendly fun, but it won’t fool the resistance, which B.J. Blazkowicz is rallying to repel the repulsive Nazis from his homeland. Watch this episode of Blitzmensch, plucked straight from the world of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

Uber, uh, Hero?
In our universe he’d be a super villain, but of course, the world of Wolfenstein is just a tad different than the one that we know. On that Earth, Germany won WWII, and dominated the rest of the world.
Fast-forward to the 1960s, and the United States is a shadow of its former self. And that includes an entertainment industry that’s awash in Nazi propaganda. Blitzmensch here immediately recalls the classic camp-fest that was the 60s Batman TV show, just with a decidedly darker tone.
Bethesda is knocking these little shorts out of the park too. They’re loaded with stuff that really adds in a ton of flavor to the already rich Wolfenstein games. Not that it’s a sure thing that we’ll see any of these videos included in the final game at all, but they’re super cool for what they are.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is heading to consoles and the PC pretty soon too. Watch for the game to arrive on October 27th.
