Cable channel Nickelodeon is planning on bringing 30 years worth of toons to Comic Con, including Rocko’s Modern Life, Spongebob, and the Ninja Turtles.
Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, N-Nick, Nick, Nick
If you grew up with Nickelodeon, then chances are you’ll be pretty happy with what the channel is planning. And most of that coolness is set to be on hand at Comic Con at the end of this month.
The schedule includes panels for both Rocko’s Modern Life: Return to Earth!, and Hey Arnold!: From Hillwood to the Jungle!. Both shows are on their way back to TV, with specials hitting soon.
Modern faves? Yes, the ubiquitous Spongebob Squarepants and the TMNT will both be on hand as well. The Spongebob crew will be talking up SpongeBob SquarePants: The Legend of Boo-kini Bottom (Halloween special), while the cast of the mean, green, teens will be talking season 5. That’s the last season for the current show, before it is turned over into something new. While it’ll be a continuation of the current universe, it’ll have a slight name change however, and will be dubbed Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So watch for that.
In all, here’s who’ll be on hand at SDCC:
- Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling: Joe Murray (creator); Cosmo Segurson(director); and voice cast Carlos Alazraqui (Rocko), Tom Kenny (Heffer), Mr. Lawrence (Filburt), and Charlie Adler (Mr. Big Head and Mrs. Big Head).
