Agents of Mayhem gets a pre-E3 trailer

With the game’s existence just breaking the other day, the first trailer has just hit for Volition’s Agents of Mayhem.

Aside from some of the most impressively cartoony fire effects I think I’ve ever seen, there’s a palpable Saints Row vibe in that trailer. And as a fan of the Third Street crew, I absolutely love it.

If that series definitely is over (which I’m still not really convinced that it is), then Agents of Mayhem seems like a very worthy successor. It’s got that signature Volition charm in spades and looks to include the more over-the-top stuff from SRIV as well, all of which fits in perfectly scene we’re essentially talking about a superhero game here. Just a very ‘mature’ superhero game. Though really, it kind of has to be that way since it isn’t the only super-powered, open-world game in town.

In a field that includes Crackdown, Agents of Mayhem has to make itself different, and it certainly seems like it’s going to do that. We’ll have more on this one shortly come E3 time, but while you wait, you can read up on it a bit more in our original story here.

Look for Agents of Mayhem on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC next year.
