E3 2015: Mass Effect goes to Andromeda in new game

Get ready to head back to EA and BioWare’s epic sci-fi universe as Mass Effect Andromeda heads to consoles and the PC next year,

BioWare is referring to that trailer as ‘cinematic’ so I assume none of it is in-game, but it still looked pretty sharp, no? Certainly head and shoulders better than any previous ME title, even if it is a cinema scene. Not that you wouldn’t expect that since this will be the first Mass Effect for the latest round of consoles.

According to BioWare, the game uses the Frostbite engine and stars a new group of heroes in a story that tales place “long after the events of the original trilogy”. You can play as a human male or female (neither of which is the character that you saw in the trailer), and will be forging your adventure not here in the Milky Way, but in the Andromeda Galaxy. A truly alien place.

As to when you might expect to see Mass Effect Andromeda landing on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC, I’d expect it to be a ways off. We’ll have more as soon as we get it.
