With the suit against Sony concluded and an agreement met, gamers are now clear to get some digital goodies, a check, or PSN credit.
First, if you’re asking yourself what the heck this is all about, it’s pretty simple. A while ago, Sony was sued by a group of unhappy consumers who claimed that the company engaged in a little false-advertising around the launch of the PS Vita. Turns out that a court agreed with them and labeled Sony liable.
So now that things are wrapped up, there’s a trio of options for the affected gamers to get in on. All you need to do to collect is to head over to vitaclaims.com. There you’ll fill out a brief questionnaire and enter your Vita’s serial number. If you’re eligible to take advantage of the ruling, you’ll then be able to pick from a check for $25.00 USD, a PSN credit for $25.00 USD, or a game pack from the below options, all of which are worth a lot more than the amounts above, but all of which are way less enticing.
- The action adventure bundle ($92.95): God of War Collection, Beyond: Two Souls, Twisted Metal for PS3 and Unit 13 for Vita.
- The “family friendly” bundle ($100.46): LittleBigPlanet 2 and Puppeteer on PS3 with Uncharted: Golden Abyss and ModNation Racers: Road Trip on the Vita.
- The variety pack ($66.46): God of War Collection and LittleBigPlanet 2 on PS3 with ModNation Racers: Road Trip and Unit 13 on Vita.
Just a note on that eligibility too, you’re ‘in’ if you bought your console around launch, which is why they need your serial number.
