Get a first look at the Vermintide in this early gameplay trailer

Fatshark’s take on Games Workshop’s Warhammer universe is looking mighty fine in this pre-alpha gameplay footage of Warhammer: End Times Vermintide.

Well, count me as excited. I know it’s early, but Vermintide is looking surprisingly far alone, and pretty darn good too. Actually, it reminds me quite a bit of the old Hexen and Heretic FPS games, which is a very good thing in case you’re wondering.

Shown here is an early mission in the game, which takes place in the city of Ubersreik, and tasks players with getting to the city’s garrison to warn them about the approaching Skaven invasion force. A force, by the way, that’s been emboldened by the surge of the gods of Chaos, who’s power is rising in the game.

So far, so good; Warhammer: End Times Vermintide arrives on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 in the later half of this year.
