Toys R Us preps for post-holiday sales

Yes, it might not even actually be Christmas yet, but Toys R Us is already getting ready for post-holiday sale time.

If you’re getting an Xbox One for Christmas or Hanukkah, then this one doesn’t apply to you, but if you’re not and have yet to pull the trigger on Microsoft’s suddenly hot as a jalapeño console, man does TRU have a deal for you. The catch of course, is that you’ll have to wait till this coming weekend. If you can pull that feat off though,  you’re golden.

This coming weekend only, if you trade in any console (and it’s a little nebulous as to what that means exactly), you’ll be in for a cool $100 off the asking price of the Xbox One. The savings comes by way f the trade and a $50 off coupon that TRU is offering. All in all, a pretty nice deal if you’re still in the last-gen camp and ready for an upgrade.

Also pretty nice is the sale that they’ll be having on games. If you should find yourself sans that game that you really wanted after the holiday rush is through, then you can nab yourself a buy-on-get-one at 30% off. This deal is good for all PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 or Xbox One games, so unless you only own a Wii U (sorry guys and gals) then you’re good to go (and mix and match too).

Not too shabby right here for TRU’s art, on a week that’s usually not exactly the hottest for sales and deals. The above will be running at Toys R Us stores starting this Friday, December 26th, and ending on January 3rd.
