Rising Star Games turns 10, plans string of celebrations

The tenth anniversary of Rising Star Games means they’ll be thanking fans with a series of planned events taking place on the tenth day of every month for the rest of the year.

If you’re not familiar with the name Rising Star Games, well, you probably should be. Without the publisher, titles like No More Heroes and Deadly Premonition would never have made it into the hands of Western audiences. Now sitting at a decade old, Rising Star has a little birthday bash planned for this Autumn that’ll last the rest of the year.

“Over the years, Rising Star Games has grown from being focused on bringing the best games from Japan to western audiences to celebrating the very best in gaming from all over the world,” said Martin Defries, Managing Director of Rising Star Games. “The industry has seen huge changes in the last decade, but one thing that’s never changed is our commitment to fantastic games, and that’s something that we’ll continue for the next decade and beyond.”

On the tenth day of every month (with a start date of Autumn) the company will hold… something. They haven’t actually announced what fans can expect to see from them on those special days, but rest assured, it’ll be something celebratory(?). And the mystery won’t kill you for too long since you can expect to find out what they  have in store as we move out of the Summer season and into the Fall. They’ll also have a few new announcements for upcoming games that’ll be on tap for the near future, so watch for that.

Stay tuned.
