Avengers A.I. #8.NOW (Comics) Preview

Think the Avengers put down the robotic threat once and for all when they wrecked Ultron in Age of Ultron? Think again.

Marvel is pleased to present your first look at Avengers A.I. 8.NOW (=Avengers A.I. #1 in All-New Marvel NOW!). From the dynamite creative team of Sam Humphries and André Araújo – the war between organics and the artificial intelligence has destroyed the world of tomorrow. Dimitrios, the vengeance-seeking A.I. Hank Pym accidentally created when he destroyed Ultron has wrought death and destruction in his quest to eradicate the human race. NOW, The Vision and his robot Avengers squad must team up with the Uncanny Avengers to rescue humankind from complete extinction! And Dimitrios’ plan has consequences that reach far, far into the future – all the way to 12,000AD! Witness firsthand the Marvel Universe of the 130th Century – and it all starts this January in Avengers A.I. 8.NOW!

Hank should really take a break from all the robotics stuff. I mean, lets just look at his track-record shall we? First, he creates Ultron; a bot that constantly upgrades itself and despises the human race with a passion. Then, when he finally puts said robo-baddie out of commission, he ‘accidentally’ creates another evil automaton that (wait for it) also hates the human race with a passion. Great stuff Hank.

Fortunately, the Avengers have quite the corps of heroic androids and otherwise mechanical humanoids on their side this time and that just might make all the difference in preventing Dimitrios from becoming the monster that his forebear was. As the first issue under the All-New Marvel NOW! branding, that’s exactly the task that’s set out in front of the Avengers A.I. team. Can they hold up their end of the bargain and take the fight to mechanized monstrosities the globe over? Well, from the looks of things, Vision and his squad aren’t going to be pushovers that’s for sure.

Avengers A.I. #8.NOW will hit the racks on January 8th from Marvel Comics and the team of Sam Humphries, André Araújo and cover artist, David Marquez.
