Ultimate Spider-Man brings on the monsters

The Ultimate Spider-Man Halloween Special is set to air this coming Saturday and Marvel has a special sneak peek of the ‘Howling Commandos’ in action.

BIG HEROES! BIG VILLAINS! AND BIGGER ADVENTURES…this week Share Your Universe with a brand new Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man Halloween Special on Disney Channel this Saturday, October 5 at 9pm/8c.

Spider-Man and his team must work alongside the infamous vampire hunter, Blade to stop Dracula from obtaining a mystical Egyptian relic that will allow him and his vampire hordes to conquer the world. Fury realizes that Spidey may need some extra help and calls on his other team, a supernatural group of Heroes, the Howling Commandos for this special Halloween mission.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and it’s just cool to see a cartoon playing up the spookiest day of the year with an animated special. Back in the 80s/90s, there was no shortage of stuff like this, but holiday specials have all but dried up in recent years.

And I have to admit that for a comic-junkie,  a holiday special with Spider-Man, Blade and a bunch of the Marvel U’s lesser known (and more monstrous) characters is just neat to see. Check it out when it airs on the Disney Channel this coming Saturday night at 9pm/8 central.
