Metal Gear Rising DLC takes the Jetstream

The Jetstream downloadable add-on for Konami’s Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance arrives with a new playable character and more story content for the hacking, slashing, and none too subtile Metal Gear spinoff.

More than just a reskinned Raiden, the Jetstream DLC actually adds Sam Rodrigues as a completely new character with everything you’d expect from that. He’s got new moves, abilities, story content and an expanded origin story.

Sam, the “cool Brazilian wind,” was a lone swordsman who brought terror and chaos to the underworld in Latin America. After slashing through the world’s outlaws as a part of his training, Sam arrives in Denver, Colorado. Players can find out what happens when he challenges “World Marshall” to test his skills. At last, the hidden story behind Raiden’s popular rival will be revealed.

Jetstream is available now for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and will cost you $9.99 USD on the PS3 or the Xbox 360. Another DLC pack titled Blade Wolf is on the way for release next month. That pack will feature the character of the same name and give the Wolf the same treatment that Sam gets in Jetstream.
