Deadpool reveals himself in new gameplay trailer

Get your mind out of the gutter! I don’t mean that kind of reveal. The first gameplay trailer for the upcoming game featuring Marvel’s wisecracking merc is loaded with gunplay, snappy patter, bananas, and boobs. Wait… what?

I have to say, I’m looking forward to Deadpool a lot more after that trailer. I wasn’t overly jazzed about Activision’s latest take on a Marvel Comics character going back to the big reveal at San Diego Comic Con last Summer.

After checking out that video though, I think there might be a lot to like about High Moon’s action game. High Moon, of course, is best known for their excellent Transformers Cybertron games. Deadpool looks to be both the same (in that it’s all action with some very sharp graphics) and different (mainly because of the sense of humor) than that series.

It also looks like there’s a good deal of the Marvel Universe in Deadpool, with guest stars like Cable and Domino. That’s probably enough to get the Marvel fan in me excited- add in that Sentinel crashed in the background (you caught that right?) and I’ll say it’s definitely enough.

Deadpool will be on store shelves later this year for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Windows PC.
