New NYC-based expansion coming to The Division 2

The Division 2 is taking things back to New York for its new expansion, Warlords of New York, as the team hunts down a former agent.

Turncoat

Former Division agent Aaron Keener is on the move, in NYC, and wreaking havoc with his new squad for former agents. So you know what that means; it’s up to you to return to the city, and set things right by taking Keener down.

If that sounds very “narrative driven”, it’s probably because it is. Ubisoft has crafted some heavy story elements into this DLC pack, so much so that the trailer below is heavily edited so as not to give anything away.

That doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to see though, as it’s chock full of action. Oh, and a dog. That you can pet.

Here’s the expansion in action

A Narrative Expansion to Discover a New Area in New York City
In Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Warlords of New York, Division Agents will go on the ultimate manhunt for Aaron Keener, a former Division Agent who has now gone rogue. Keener, along with his network of Rogue Agents, is now a major threat to the rebirth of civilization. To track down Keener, Agents will roam the untamed living open world of Lower Manhattan, a former Dark Zone recently hit by a devastating hurricane that hit New York City harder than anywhere else in the US. Agents are tasked to explore new zones, each with iconic locations such as Two Bridges, Chinatown, and Wall Street. To get to Keener, players must take down each of his Rogue Agents.  Each Rogue Agent has their own unique back story and skill – which you discover once you take them down.

Along with the story expansion, Warlords of NY also includes a bunch of improvements. Those include a level cap increase, an “infinite progression system”, new skills, and more. You can check that out here.

Warlords hits The Division 2 on March 3rd.
