Batman: Return to Arkham Delayed Indefinitely

The remastered bundle of Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City, originally developed by Rocksteady has been delayed indefinitely. The collection was originally set for a July 26 release. Unfortunately, Virtuous Games will need an undisclosed amount of time to finish the port.batmanreturntoarkham

“After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuos Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience,” according to an official post by Steve Grayson of WB. “We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”

This news is unsurprising after reports of the transition from Unreal Engine 3 to Unreal Engine 4 being no easy undertaking. Batman: Return to Arkham will be released, eventually, on PS4 and Xbox One.
