Dark Horse debuts a real Lady Killer. No really, she’s a lady who’s a killer

A 1960s era hired gun who also happens to be a homemaker?

Betty Draper meets Hannibal!

Josie Schuller is a picture-perfect homemaker, wife, and mother—but she’s also a ruthless, efficient killer for hire! A brand-new original comedy series that combines the wholesome imagery of early 1960s domestic bliss with a tightening web of murder, paranoia, and cold-blooded survival.

Now this is just stinking cool. The 60s vibe is awesome all by itself, but it looks like writer Joëlle Jones is really having a good time with it. Josie looks like a homemaker in reality, and it isn’t just a cover or something, as she lives tow lives in this darkly comedic tale that seems to have style to spare.

The art by Jamie Rich is pretty special too, with a grounded feel that nonetheless has a homicidal twist that puts it right in line with the best (and maybe the worst in a way) that Dark Horse has in its stable. Also, that promo illustration is pure gold.

This is one to watch guys and gals, Lady Killer hits the racks on January 7th. Click the thumb to the left for  full preview.
