Magnetic Realms’ Inescapable releases today

Old-school, side-scrolling action with a cool sci-fi bent; Inescapable looks like it could scratch that Metroidvania itch quite nicely.

The storyline hinted at in the trailer sounds like something akin to Prometheus with a ‘discovery’ leading to a cave full of nasties, crashed spaceships and an eerily vacated lab. Plus the game just has a really neat, vintage vibe that I personally really like.

But then, I’ve always been a sucker for platformers that combined action with exploration, hence the Metroid/Castlevania reference.

Inescapable is available right now from developer Magnetic Realms for the PC (Windows or Linux) and Mac. You can grab it here (totally DRM free) right now.
