The new year is looking like a pretty good one for the Nintendo family of consoles. A few big name exclusives framed by a slate of third-party offerings are all on tap for 2013.

A second special edition of Warner Brothers and NetherRealm Studios’ upcoming DC Comics brawler is on the way. Instead of collectables, this one’s packing a limited edition fight stick and some DLC. Update: Forget that Wii U version we told you about.

The publisher claims sales of the new console surpassed the Wii’s initial six week run by more than $30 million USD.

Porting older games to the Wii U has been pretty popular with publishers (so far anyway), but the folks behind some of the biggest properties in gaming aren’t so keen on the idea.
