Rockstar has bumped the release of Grand Theft Auto V on PC just a bit, and has also released the spec list so you’ll know exactly what you’ll need to run the game when it arrives.
Originally scheduled to hit this month, you’ll have to wait a tad longer for the PC version of the latest crime epic from Rockstar Games. Till March to be specific. While that is a bit of a bummer, no doubt, I’m sure you’d rather get a game that works than one that has ‘issues’. No word on why the delay from the company (so this is just speculation), but with the sheer amount of games being released with issues lately, it’d be a smart move to just delay a launch if there are any relatively big problems, instead of doing a release-and-patch job. Especially for a game of this magnitude.
GTAV on the PC will support some new tricks when it hits too, like 4k resolution, triple-monitor setups, and Nvidia 3D vision. You’ll also be able to edit your own videos and post them right to the Rockstar Social Club, which is pretty nice as well.
As for the GTA Online ‘Heists’ that’ve been promised, Rockstar says that they will be arriving sooner on consoles, so you won’t have to wait for the PC release of Online if you were waiting on playing Heists on your favorite set top box. GTA Online for the PC, which will be released right alongside GTAV, will support up to 30 players at a time and will include Heists.
The game arrives (officially) on March 24th.
