Are you a Club Nintendo member in Europe? If so, you might be eligible to ab a New 3DS before anyone else.
So this is kind of cool, although it’s unclear at how many of the invites have gone out and it’s totally opaque as to whether or not the program will come to any other territories other than in Europe where it’s confirmed at the moment. Still though, as of now, some UK Club Nintendo members can grab a Nintendo New 3DS (standard model, not the XL) for the tidy sum of £179.99.
The invites to buy early are being sent out via email to some that belong to the Club, with no clarification on how the company is choosing the recipients, and offer what’s being called the Ambassador Edition of the upcoming console. This special edition handheld includes the system itself (it’d be pretty lousy if it didn’t), a set of swappable front and back plates in both ‘Ambassador’ and Super Smash Bros prints, some AR cards, a spare stylus, a micro SD card (4GB), and a charging cradle. Oddly enough, the set doesn’t include a charging cable, but Nintendo probably assumes you have yours from buying the last 3DS that was released.
We’ll keep you posted on whether or not this offer is set to be expanded, as of now though, it’s Europe only.
