The newest trailer for Ubisoft’s latest Assassin’s Creed title talks up some big improvements to some of the smaller parts of your typical AC title. The goal being to make them, well, not so small.
Man does that game look good, or does it look good? I’m talking about graphically of course, but the new side-quest system looks like it’ll actually make for some interesting adventures this time around, and not just serve as a whole mess of filler.
Usually, and I’ve played pretty much all of the AC games, I don’t even bother with the vast majority of the side-quests. There’s a reason too, and that is that they’re almost exclusively without any zest or feeling to them. Assassination contracts are just marches towards a target, taking him out, and then escaping. Ho-hum affairs really, so to see them actually getting a good deal of care and some -dare I say it- story to them? Pretty awesome.
I also really dig the heists. Not only do they look like a good time, but they get the four possible player characters involved together, which could be a lot of fun. Big changes to small parts of a game, that look like they’ll equal up to a heck of a lot more time that gamers will want to spend in the revolutionary world of Assassin’s Creed Unity.
The game hits the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on November 11th.
