Ubisoft’s open-world driving game has been officially assigned a model year and will be on the way this Autumn.
The Crew shows a ton and a half of promise and looks even better than the last time we saw it a few quarters ago. The game represents something actually new for the driving genre too as The Crew is an open-world game that sports huge portions of the US itself that you can drive through and race across against other players.
The gameplay trailer above showcases a quartet of cars with differing specs as well as some of the iconic areas of the United States that you can visit. Ubisoft says The Crew will have a living, breathing world and it certainly seems like they’re headed in the right direction with it from the video. I mean honestly, just look at this thing.
Graphically, The Crew looks head and shoulders above everything else out there right now including the recently released Need for Speed: Rivals; and we’re still more than a few months out from launch. It’ll also be the only racer other then the aforementioned title on the PS4, so if you’re a social-minded race fan who has Sony’s new console, The Crew is shaping up to be a great choice for this Fall.
That’s when the game will be available, by the way. No, there’s no firm date as of yet, but it’s definitely on the way for the PS4 as well as the Xbox One and PC for this Autumnal season. Keep the engine warm race fans, we’ll have plenty more as it becomes available.
