DST premiers Battle Beasts stop animation

Battle Beasts and stop-motion animation, two great tastes that go great together.

The first series of Toys R Us exclusive two-packs are just hitting stores now and to celebrate the occasion toy and collectable makers Diamond Select Toys went ahead and produced a short film directed by Alex Kropinak and starring some of the main Beasts from the toy line (and the IDW comic series).

They can do that?! Bad guys that reassemble themselves doesn’t seem all that fair now does it?

Foul play aside, these special TRU edition sets feature exclusive paint applications that you won’t find on the two-packs at your local comic shop. There are also two additional characters that weren’t in the sets shipped to specialty stores. So even if you have those and aren’t too crazy about alternate deco’s, you’re still gonna want to seek these Toys R Us packs out to complete the old collection.

And speaking of that collection, here are the sets at Toys R US’ now:

– Vorin the Ram vs. Scorpus the Scorpion (new decos)
– Merk the Falcon vs. Spidron the Tarantula (new decos)
– Gruntos the Walrus vs. Scalpus the Snake (new decos)
– Antalor the Moose vs. Nychirix the Bat (exclusive)

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
