Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded launching on Meta Quest 3 next week

Agent 47’s new virtual reality hit-list is coming exclusively to the Meta Quest 3, and it’s got a September 5th release date.

The hits just keep on coming

We first told you about IO Interactive and XR Games’ Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded not that long ago, but believe it or not, it’s just about ready to launch. If you’re not familiar, the assassination-filled title presents a very interesting kinda/sorta remake.

True, the game it’s based on just came out in 2021, but this upcoming version brings the Hitman 3 experience into virtual reality for the first time. It isn’t just a straight adaptation either, as Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded actually is set to serve up quite a bit of new content.

Probably the first thing you’ll notice, aside from the user interface, is that the look has been revamped. The game now sports a more ‘animated’ feel and “fluid and natural movement options”, meant to give players an easier time as they navigate Hitman 3’s world to complete its contracts.

That’s not all though, as Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded also offers dual-wielding for the first time in the series, plus the ability to use weapons in either hand. Just a couple of cool new things that should make the trip to VR feel new and different.

“It’s finally time for players to play an untethered HITMAN experience,” said Bobby Thandi, Founder and CEO of XR Games. “We’re so excited to announce our release date, and can’t wait for players to finally get their hands on HITMAN 3 VR: Reloaded when it releases on September 5th. Not long to wait now!”

IO Interactive press release

Digging what you’re seeing? Well as you can see above, it’s coming up fast. Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded is coming up on September 5th, 2024. As of right now though, it’s exclusive to one platform, and will be launching for the Meta Quest 3 headset only.
