Giving it what just might be a whole new feel, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl now has full voice-over and new items with a fresh batch of DLC.
Sounds right
If you played Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, then you already know that there was one major knock against the Smash-like brawler. While the game looked great, and played fairly well, the audio was a glaring issue.
In a move that was… well, let’s just say ‘odd’, the game had no actual voice lines for it’s characters. Fights had no personality, according to our review of the launch Switch edition, and it made things feel more than a little off.
Well that’s something that’s finally been fixed, and it comes by way of a new download. Now fans can expect to hear the “authentic sounds of SpongeBob (Tom Kenny), Ren & Stimpy (Billy West), Garfield (Frank Welker), Patrick Star (Bill Fagerbakke), Korra (Janet Varney), and the rest of the all-star roster.”
Additionally, the new update includes a bunch of new items. In with those are things like the “Krabby Patty, Sokka’s boomerang, Tommy’s ball, a Reptar toy, Log from Blammo and more!”. So there’s a decent amount of new stuff included, that just might get you to drop the game back onto your console (or PC).
The update should be live now for all versions of the game, which is out now for the Xbox, PS4, and PC. It’ll also be out soon for the Switch, and if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you can get the game for free this month (June).
