With a ton of new announcements and figures shipping out, Hot Toys is on a serious roll. Their latest announcement is a classic Luke Skywalker.
Form the swamps of Dagobah
Why it is that this particular version of Luke Skywalker is dubbed “Bespin” Luke and never “Dagobah” Luke, I don’t know. He’s basically the same version of the character, and yet it’s always the former and never the latter designation.
In any event, it’s the same once again with Hot Toys’ latest. the toy-maker’s newest Star Wars figure is the Bespin (and Dagobah) version of the hero, and it’s one of their most impressive yet.
Not does the figure sport a Mark Hamill likeness, it’s also got a new feature to it. Aside from the usual “rolling eyeballs” that Hot Toys typically produces, it also has a new one of the company; interchangeable hair. This gives Luke two distinct looks. And yes, one has a sweaty, water-logged Dagobah look.
As impressive as the standard figure is, the Deluxe is that much cooler. Not only does it feature everything that the standard stocks, but also a ‘Luke in Darth Vader helmet’-head, and a Dagobah display base. So you get both looks, from the hair right down to the base.
The figures are both set to ship oil the second half of 2023, and are both up for pre-order right now via Sideshow Toys.
The Luke Skywalker (Bespin) 1/6 Scale Figure – Deluxe Version features a hand-painted head sculpt with stunning likeness to Mark Hamill as he appeared in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Each head sculpt includes Hot Toys’ unique “rolling eyeballs” feature and interchangeable hair sculptures, allowing collectors a wide range of display possibilities.
The Luke Skywalker (Bespin) 1/6 Scale Figure – Deluxe Version includes a finely tailored fabric outfit, and a wide range of accessories, including an LED light-up lightsaber, an interchangeable lightsaber blade emulating the weapon in motion, a blaster, and a carbon-freezing chamber themed base.
Furthermore! This Deluxe Version exclusively includes an incredible 1/6 replica of the vision of Luke seeing himself as Darth Vader and an additional Dagobah themed base!
