The official game of the World Rally Championship is here with WRC 9. NACON and KT Racing’s newest takes gamers off-road on the Series X|S.
Gettin’ muddy
The launch of a new console usually means racing games. Why that is exactly, I have no idea, but it’s a fact that’s seemingly inescapable. For the Xbox Series X|S, which launched today, we actually have a few.
No others that WRC 9 though, can claim to be the official game of the World Rally Championship. From French studio KT Racing, WRC 9 seeks to bring the motorsport’s finer points to life and onto your TV at 60fps.
With WRC 9, the passionate developers of the French studio KT Racing have pulled out all the stops to once again meet the high expectations of rally fans looking for tougher challenges and heightened realism. With an enhanced career mode and many technical improvements, players are thrust into the heart of the 2020 FIA World Rally Championship season with many great highlights.
WRC 9 press release
It bears mentioning too, that the Xbox Series X|S version is a bit improved. Aside from the frame-rate, the Series X|S’ WRC 9 features the game’s October update. That includes a new driver, 6 new courses in Finland, and a photo mode. And we all know how popular those are.
Important to note though, is that if you have the Xbox One version of the game, then you already have the Series X|S one as well. Thanks to the power of Smart Delivery, all you have to do is log into your shiny new console and you will find direct access to that new version available for you. Just like magic.
