If you assumed that EA wasn’t really going to be doing much with Star Wars Battlefront II’s progression system, well you might want to think again.

We all know what EA did to appease fans post-Battlefront II launch. But taking the ability to pay real-world cash for in-game content was just the start. Let’s also remember, by the way, that that element will be returning at some point.
But that’s not what we’re talking about today. Nope, today we’re talking progression, and getting the goods the old fashioned way – by playing the game. While the ability to pay for stuff was removed, the super-grindy progression system in Battlefront II was untouched.
That changed this week though, as EA has announced a series of alterations to the game. Up and running as of this writing, here are the changes:
- The end-of-round payout has been increased.
- Earn 3X more Credits daily in Arcade Mode.
- Daily Login Crates will now provide three times more crafting parts than before.
Not bad. These changes should make getting things in the game a little bit easier for Star Wars gamers. It comes at a good time too, with the “The Last Jedi” season kicking off tomorrow.
Here’s the rundown on what that will include:
Tomorrow, Star Wars Battlefront II The Last Jedi Season begins with another update that kicks off the factional challenges, allowing players to choose a side and start competing for rewards as either The First Order or The Resistance. Then on December 13, things kick into high gear when all new content themed around Star Wars The Last Jedi is available free for all players. Finn and Captain Phasma will join the battle as playable heroes, along with new vehicles and locations including a new Galactic Assault map Crait and Starfighter Assault map D’Qar. In addition, Iden Versio will return in Star Wars Battlefront II Resurrection in all new chapters of the single player campaign set during the days of the First Order’s rise to power.
