Coming to VR headsets starting next month, Alien: Rogue Incursion is looking like it’s going to be a memorable foray into xeno-terror.
They mostly come out in virtual reality
Alien has had a spotty history when it comes to video games. There’ve been a few standouts over the decades though, and that includes some recent notables, in a few genres. One that’s upcoming too, looks like it might be pretty darn promising.
That, as you can see from the headline, is Alien: Rogue Incursion. From developer Survios, Alien: Rogue Incursion is a first-person title that’s exclusive to virtual reality platforms, and sets players into the boots of an ex-Colonial Marine named Zula Hendricks.
Together with her synth companion Davis 01, Hendricks heads to facility on the planet of Purdan, a frozen and harsh world that’s about to get a lot more brutal. And by that, we mean it’s infested with xenomorphs.
So what’d you think of this new look at Alien: Rogue Incursion? We’re thinking it seems nicely harrowing, and more than a little tense, thanks to what looks to be some solid action. Though we’ll add that we’re still not totally sure how the game’s action will play out. It looks to be traditional first-person controls, and hopefully that’s the case. If it is, Alien: Rogue Incursion might be a gem for VR fans.
Scheduled to have a staged release, fans can look for the game to arrive on PSVR 2 and PCVR platforms on December 19th. Meta headsets will be getting the game too, though those drops won’t be landing until some time in early 2025.
