GSC Game World follows up delay news with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 deep dive

Fans who are bummed out that they have to wait another two months to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will want to check out the new dev diary.

Dear post-apocalyptic diary

Not all that long ago, we told you that the highly anticipated FPS S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was getting another delay. But while the game’s been in the works for years at this point, this particular delay wasn’t really all that bad, with GSC Game World nudging the title back from September 5th to November 20th.

To cushion that blow just a tad as well, the developer teamed up with Xbox to produce a deep dive of a developer diary that’s just seen release. Landing yesterday, the new video goes behind the scenes on the continued development of the post-apocalyptic action title, plus piles in lots of new looks at it in action, and even has a walkthrough of one of the “quests” from the game’s main story.

The result is a dev diary that shows off a deep and visually stunning game, and ironically makes that extra few months a little tougher to bear.

“We know you might be tired of waiting, and we truly appreciate your patience. These two additional months will give us the chance to fix more “unexpected anomalies” (or simply “bugs”, as you call them). We are always grateful for your ongoing support and understanding – it means the world to us. We’re just as eager as you are to finally release the game and for you to experience it for yourself.”

Yevhen Grygorovych, Game Director at GSC Game World

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
