Open-world survival game Terminator: Survivors delayed into 2025

NACON and NACON Studio Milan’s survival take on the iconic Terminator franchise is getting a nudge into 2025.

No fate…

Fans looking forward to something of a new take on the Terminator IP will have to wait just a little bit longer. Granted, this is an Early Access release that we’re talking about, but it’s still valid to say that Terminator: Survivors was one of the bigger games coming up in the fall of 2024. That launch wasn’t meant to be however, and the game’s EA period has been pushed to an unknown date next year.

The survival/open-world game starring the titular robots was originally on target for an October 24th release on the PC. NACON says though, that more time on it is needed to deliver something that lives up to the name, and is “an experience that fully meets the players’ expectations”.

“This deferral of the game’s release was a tough decision to make, however we believe that this additional time will enable us to ensure that our vision of the post-apocalyptic world of Terminator™ meets the expected level of quality. On behalf of the NACON Studio Milan team, I would like to thank all the players and fans of the franchise for their enthusiastic reception of Terminator: Survivors. We are extremely proud to have this opportunity to work on such an iconic franchise as Terminator, and are eager to reveal more of it to you. Thank you all for support… We’ll be back.”

Marco Ponte, CEO & Creative Director of NACON Studio Milan

As always, we feel the need to point out the old axiom that a delayed game can eventually be good, but a bad game is bad forever. We think that’s probably just as applicable to an Early Access release. Stay tuned for more news on Terminator: Survivors, which will be coming to both PC and consoles eventually, as we move into 2025.
