Hulu gets Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes for streaming next week

The Kingdom is getting bigger, as Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes arrives for streaming via Hulu in August.

Apes strong

From a solid theatrical run to a digital launch, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes now completes its cycle with both a physical and streaming launch next month. While you likely already know all about the disc-based release, it’s the streaming one that’s the news of the week.

The movie has been revealed to be arriving on streaming platform Hulu, and in short order. The service has announced that fans will be able to catch a screening whenever they like, starting on August 2nd.

Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise with this action-adventure spectacle from 20th Century Studios. Set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, apes are living harmoniously as the dominant species — and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
