Not too shabby of a month is on tap for Prime Gaming subscribers, with a true Star Wars multiplayer classic and more.
Back to the ‘Front
There isn’t a ton of big name stuff on tap for June of 2024, as goes Amazon’s Prime Gaming service. It’s actually kind of low-key, though that’s not to sat that there aren’t some good games to add to your digital library. What’s included comes in addition to what looks to be a very solid 30 days for Luna as well, the company’s streaming platform. We’ll get to the free stuff first though, and there’s a gem included there with Star Wars: Battlefront II Classic.
This isn’t the just-released version of the iconic multiplayer action title, but instead the original version that was launched in 2004 and is now available via GOG. The game slides players into the boots of a member of the 501st legion of Clone Troopers for its story mode, and of course lets them dig into the multiplayer modes in grand form, playing through huge battles as characters from the prequel and original trilogies.
Past that, there’s the turn-based Weird West Definitive Edition, the great-looking Mythforce, and plenty more.
- June 6 STAR WARS™ Battlefront II (Classic, 2005) [GOG Code] – Join the rise of Darth Vader’s elite 501st Legion of Stormtroopers as you fight through a story-based saga where every action you take impacts the battlefront and, ultimately, the fate of the STAR WARS™ galaxy.
- June 6 Weird West Definitive Edition [Epic Game Store Code] – Journey through the story of a group of atypical heroes written into legend by the decisions you make in an unforgiving land.
- June 6 Genesis Noir [Amazon Games App] – Jump into the expanding universe and search for a way to destroy creation and save your love in this noir adventure spanning time and space.
- June 13 Everdream Valley [Amazon Games App] – By day, restore a quaint farm into a summer paradise and at night, inhabit various creatures through your dreams and bring enchantment to the valley.
- June 13 Mythforce [Epic Game Store Code] – Step into a Saturday Morning Cartoon! Adventure through crypts and castles with your friends in this first-person melee roguelike.
- June 13 Blast Brigade vs. the Evil Legion of Dr. Cread [GOG Code] – Explore and backtrack through a colorful comic-style world, using your platforming skills, puzzle-solving wits and an explosive arsenal of weapons and abilities to save the world!
- June 13 Projection: First Light [Amazon Games App] – Follow Greta on a puzzle-platforming adventure through a mythological shadow puppet world as she embarks on a journey across cultures meeting legendary heroes.
Along with to all of the above, there’s also a surprise addition with The Lullaby of Life. Technically a part of the May offering slate (so we’re not sure how long it’ll be up), The Lullaby of Life is a colorful, puzzle-adventure “inspired by the origins of life”.
Luna-tics should be happy too
If, on the other hand, you’re more of the streaming kind, you might really like what Amazon has on tap for Luna. Metro: Exodus joins the rotating lineup of monthly games, which also includes Bee Simulator, Fortnite, LEGO® Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, and Trackmania.
And with all of those games, don’t forget that Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition are both still available for play. So all in all it’s setting up to be a very nice month for subscribers, as long as they live in the US, Canada, Germany, the UK, France, Italy, and Spain that is. Luna’s offerings are only available in those territories.
