Time to hack and slash through an 8bit world in PID Games, PixelHeart, and Squidbit Works’ retro adventure, Lords of Exile.
Classic monster slaying, as you like it
Looking like a retro-explosion is developer Squidbit’s newest, Lords of Exile. The side-scrolling game boasts a horror/action theme with what looks like classic platforming gameplay, all wrapped up in an audio/video package that could be right at home on the iconic NES.
Players take on the role of a cursed knight named Gabriel, who finds himself questing to the far east, and into a world of trouble. The land is plagued with hideous monsters and rogue samurai, all of which stand in Gabe’s way, as he slices his way though 8 levels of action.
In ancient times of war in the Far East, the lands of Exilia were overrun by creatures of the night and samurais. Amidst this cruel conflict, only a bloodthirsty cursed knight can bring hope and vanquish the darkness.
