Tekken 8’s character-trailer series rolls on with Sergei Dragunov

The White Angel of Death is the latest fighter to get a trailer, for Bandai Namco’s rapidly approaching Tekken sequel.

Your angel of death awaits

The cold-hearted and deadly Sergei Dragunov showcases his powerhouse fighting technique, as Bandai Namco’s trailer series continues. Dragunov looks like he’s going to be able to go fist-to-fist with just about anybody on the roster in Tekken 8, and then some.

Aside from his sheer strength, he’s also packing a frosty ability that should leave his opponents cold. Oh, and he doesn’t like cameras. Like, at all.

Coming up next is Sergei Dragunov, a user of Commando Sambo and a character who is feared for his alias “The White Angel of Death,” a name he earned through his sheer and overwhelming combat prowess. When Dragunov returns home with a new adventure in mind that will make his younger self proud, he chooses to embark on a journey in TEKKEN 8 to achieve his new goal.

Bandai Namco press release

Tekken 8 continues to follow the all-encompassing Kazama-Mishima feud. From the press release, it sounds like the new game will be embroiling each of its fighters in that overall arc, with stories that all tie-together. Stay tuned, because that also means each one is important in their own way, and so this series of spotlights will indeed continue every Wednesday through the game’s release.

That, by the way, will be on January 26th. Look for Tekken 8 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
