Welcome to the Haus of the dead. Dead Island 2’s Californian nightmare continues this week, with the release of the Haus expansion.
Zombies, cultists… yep it’s California alright
Released earlier this year, the long-awaited sequel to Dead Island served up a rollicking, zombie-slaying romp through a post-apocalyptic LA. But as wide in scope as that experience was, it’s just the start of the action thanks to a pretty beefy post-launch roadmap from developer Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver.
That’s a plan that’s just seen the release of Haus, a new shot in the arm for the base game that adds in a new story points, plus places to go and weapons to take the fight to the horde with. Oh, and it’s seemingly a heck of a lot creepier than what the rest of the game serves up too.
Welcome to Haus.
Set within a mysterious villa in Malibu, where the boundaries of morality are somewhat vague, players need to investigate the secrets of a cult – and its enigmatic leader – as they slug it out amid the Zompocalypse.
Deep Silver press release
So… that was disturbing, no? If you’re ready to face the terrors of Haus, the pack is priced in at $12.99 USD separately, but is also included with the Dead Island 2 Expansion Pass. So if you have that, you’re good to go. If not, and you want to grab a pass for yourself, it’s also available and runs $29.99 USD.
Both methods of purchase are available now, along with the base game of course, for Xbox and PlayStation platforms and the PC.
