Metal Gear Solid is back, in Konami’s full remake of Snake Eater

One of the most highly acclaimed Metal Gear Solid titles, which is really saying something, Snake Eater is back and on the way for consoles and PC.

Snake? Snake?

Yep, Snake is back. This was kind of a poorly kept secret though, since there’d been rumors about it for a few days at this point, so you probably knew that already. Nevertheless it’s pretty welcome news that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is on the way for consoles and the PC.

Konami officially took the wraps off of the game at yesterday’s PlayStation Showcase, revealing a Snake Eater revamp that looks incredible. Actually, maybe we should hold off on the accolades, since the first-look you’re about to watch is non-gameplay.

Still, even in this form, it’s tough not to get excited for it.

For its part, Konami promises that this will be a faithful remake. So don’t expect any big changes to the story or the characters to modernize anything. This will be a return to form for the Big Boss’ origin story, which is how it should be.

And while it debuted at Sony’s event, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be coming to the Xbox Series X|S and PC, as well as the PS5. Just don’t go looking for a release date just yet, as nothing has been announced at this time. Stay tuned.
