Featuring turn-based strategic action from the developers of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, Miasma Chronicles is out now for consoles and PC.
Could be swamp gas
Developer Bearded Ladies is back once again, and for a whole new adventure. Not just content with their hit Mutant Year Zero, the developer now has a fresh IP out there, and it’s looking like a wild time.
Miasma Chronicles takes place in a post-apocalyptic alternate reality, where a dystopic America is being overtaken by something called Miasma. This foul substance is snuffing humanity out bit by bit, and giving rise to all manner of new horrors.
It’s a good thing then, that there’s a guy outfitted with a gauntlet that’s capable of controlling that funk. Did we mention he’s from Kentucky and his name is Elvis?
The world lies in ruins, courtesy of a destructive substance called Miasma, a bizarre substance that has consumed the planet and threatens the last vestiges of humanity. Raised in the dusty mining town of Sedentary, a young man named Elvis comes into possession of a strange glove that can bend ‘Miasma’ to his will and together with his robot “brother” Diggs, the pair set off to solve the mystery of Miasma in this one-of-a-kind coming-of-age story.505 Games press release
As you can see there, Elvis isn’t alone on his quest to save his mom, and his gauntlet definitely isn’t just for show. Players will have to make good use of his powers, as well as the team’s special abilities, if they want to survive Miasma Chronicles’ “hauntingly gorgeous” world, and “face the future of mankind”.
Miasma Chronicles is out right now for Xbox and PlayStation platforms, as well as the PC (by way of Epic).
