Not one, not two, but three Green Goblins on the way from Hot Toys

Spider-Man fans are in for a triple-threat, with both a base and deluxe version of the Green Goblin, plus Hot Toys’ take on the new MCU costume.

Time for an upgrade

Who really stole the show in Spider-Man: No Way Home? Was it Tobey McGuire or Andrew Garfield? Maybe. How about Alfred Molina as Doc Ock? Could be. Maybe it was Sandman or Electro? Nah.

We all know the answer to that question, and it’s undeniably Wilem Dafoe as Norman Osborn/The Green Goblin. The actor somehow outdid his already great performance as Gobby from the clcccic original Spider-Man flick, and actually managed to give MCU actor Tom Holland’s Peter Parker a serious edge. He was awesome.

And looking like a fitting tribute, is Hot Toys’ lineup of Green Goblin collector figures. Yes, lineup. We saw the basic Green Goblin figure earlier this year, and the deluxe model of that figure too, but what you haven’t seen is the Upgraded Suit version.

Before we get to the one, here are some new shots of those already shown figures:

Masterfully crafted based on Green Goblin’s appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the Green Goblin 1/6 Scale Figure features a new hand-painted headsculpt of renowned actor Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn, as well as an interchangeable Green Goblin helmeted head, movie-accurate armor, his signature pumpkin bombs, and more!
The special Deluxe Edition also includes an ultra-detailed 1/6 scale Goblin Glider with LED light-up features and articulated elements.

Both versions are available for pre-order now, via Sideshow.

‘Upgrade’

As slick as those are, the Upgraded Suit version is looking even cooler, with the signature Goblin purple cloak and hood added in. MCU fans will know that look straightaway, since making the character look a little more like his comic book counterpart was one of the most notable changes from No Way Home.

Note that, like in the movie, this version of Gobby doesn’t have the helmet. I have to wonder if you can swap the heads from the different editions, if you get both. I can’t imagine you can’t, but it’s not mentioned anywhere in the press release, so you’d be taking a chance.

The Green Goblin (Upgraded Suit) 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure also features an expertly sculpted portrait capturing Willem Dafoe’s maniacal portrayal of Norman Osborn / Green Goblin. The hand-painted headsculpt is equipped with moveable eyeballs to allow collectors to adjust the character’s gaze when posing the figure.

The Green Goblin’s upgraded costume is painted in metallic green with battle-damaged effects, and comes with a weathered fabric poncho. Other accessories include Norman’s goggles, his pumpkin bombs, attachable forearm blades, and more.

But that’s not all! The Green Goblin (Upgraded Suit) 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure also comes with his trademark Goblin Glider, equipped with LED light-up features and articulated parts.

Sideshow press release

All of the above are available on Sideshow Toys right now, as open pre-orders. The Upgraded Suit edition is priced at $395 USD, and is set to ship in quarter 4 of 2023, or Q1 of ’24. The Deluxe Edition (with the glider) is priced in at $375 USD, while the base model is $285 USD, with both looking towards an April through June (2023) launch window.
