The MCU’s penultimate Iron Man armor is making its way to collectors courtesy of a new Hot Toys DLX figure. Here’s a look at the Mark 50.
Superior tech
Part one of the two part Infinity capper, Infinity War saw the arrival of what would be one of the last Iron Man armors to grace the silver screen. That was delivered in the form of the nano-powered Mark 50, a suit that was so high-tech it looked like magic.
It’s that very suit too, that’s the latest to be brought to life by Hot Toys. The collectible-maker has a tricked-out adaptation ready for shipping in just a few months, and it comes complete with LED lighting and nano-tech weaponry.
But this new figure isn’t cast in the familiar Hot Toys 12″ scale, but instead stands in at 6.9″. Yes, it’s a 6/7″ scale figure that somehow has lighting effects and 48 points of articulation. Only Hot Toys.
Here’s a detailed look at it, fresh from Hot Toys’ retailing partner at Sideshow.
Battle tested in the fight against Thanos, the Mark 50 armor utilizes highly advanced nanotechnology, making it Iron Man’s most versatile suit. Based on Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War, this fully articulated, diecast figure beautifully recreates the nanotechnology armor worn by Tony Stark. Constructed using Threezero’s DLX diecast system, the DLX Iron Man Mark 50 Collectible Figure‘s red and gold colorway is created using a special multilayer coating process.
Sideshow Toys press release
