Trailer: Desktop Dungeon demo quests onto Steam’s Next Fest

Out right now and playable during Next Fest, is the freshly launched demo for the cute lil remake of turn-based classic Desktop Dungeon.

Now with more 3D

Desktop Dungeons: Rewind is a 3D remake of the award-winning, bite-sized, tactical dungeon crawler. Founding a new kingdom isn’t easy: it takes cunning, manpower, and lots and lots of gold. How will you pay for the outrageously overpriced taverns and banks? Better descend into the dungeons and steal riches from their deadly inhabitants any way you can.

PRISMATIKA press release

If you’re looking to dig into a chunky demo this Next Fest, this might be the one for you. Desktop Dungeon Rewind is a turn-based dungeon crawler, and has one heck of a stacked demo.

Players will find some 90 minutes of gameplay included, spread out over a total of 10 dungeons. All 4 starting classes (Fighter, Priest, Thief and Wizard) will be included as well, and each one of those can be played as either a human, elf, or dwarf. So you get a total of 12 class/race combos there.

There’s much more in store as well, with special challenges, a tutorial to play through, and 4 hidden gods that you can discover. And yes, just to reiterate, this is a demo.

The full version has no release date just yet, but keep your eyes open because Desktop Dungeon Rewind is looking pretty far along.
