Project Warlock is back, and ready to deliver more guns, spells, monsters, and heaping helpings of blood and gore. It’s out now in Early Access.
Magic missile, or just missile?
In Project Warlock II players step into the shoes of Palmer and need to defend their home castle from an onslaught of invading demons. They’ll have an arsenal of upgradeable swords, guns, magical staffs, cannons, and special skills at their disposal. Palmer is but only the first of the three Warlocks that will be featured in the game, with Urd and Kirsten’s chapters to be introduced over the coming months.
Retrovibe press release
Project Warlock II is out right now on PC, but in Early Access form. And that means that this version of the game isn’t the full retail launch, and is not yet complete. Still, you get a good deal of content, and of course the rest of the game too, as soon as it’s ready (about a year out).
Starting out though, PW2 delivers the first chapter of the campaign’s action. That translates into 6 levels. Doesn’t sound like much? Well, that’s because you’re unaware that each of these levels are “10 times bigger than any individual level in the original game.” Yep. then there’s also the vertical action, which is something that the original didn’t do at all.
Ready to play? Project Warlock II is out on Steam, GOG, and Epic, and is priced in at $16.99 USD. It does have a launch discount though, so if you buy it now, you’ll nab a copy for a little bit cheaper.
