Wield diseases as weapons in Thymesia

A half-human, half-raven hero is the star of Thymesia, a “punishing action-RPG” from Team17 and OverBorder Studio, set in an age of plague.

That’s not just a mask

In terms of unique video game heroes, I’m pretty sure that a “half human, half raven hybrid” would rank pretty high. Now add to that, that hero Corvus can actually pull plague from his enemies and wield that as a weapon. Yeah that’s pretty different alright.

Th power comes form the “ravening” weapons that Corvus wields, and it sounds like he’ll need them. The dark world of Thymesia is loaded with plague-mutated beastmen, lurking in its darkest corners.

Here’s a look:

If it wasn’t obvious from the look there, OverBorder Studios’ says that players will need to make use of every option to defeat their foes in this one. In what sounds like Soulslike gameplay, Corvus will need to be constantly “dodging attacks and parrying” to survive.

On top of all of that, Corvus will be highly customizable. Players will be able to build him out as they like for combat. And there will also be several endings, which OverBorder is hoping will encourage multiple playthroughs.

Thymesia is launching on the PC on December 7th of this year, and can be wish-listed via Steam now.
