Ghostrunner gets the boost to current-gen

Cyberpunk action title Ghostrunner is ready for round two. The game has officially received a current-gen boost to look its best on PS5 and Series X|S.

Running

You might not have had Ghostrunner on your radar when it was released last year. You’d be forgiven for that, since the thematic genre had a slightly bigger (at the time) release. Nevertheless, since launch Ghostrunner has gotten a pretty healthy amount of acclaim.

Ghostrunner on PS4

It’s also a radically different game than that other title that shall not be named. For one thing, even though it’s a first-person title, it’s got a focus on fast parkour-powered battles. It also looks darn good, with plenty of neon glow and cyber-flair.

If you did miss it in its first run, you’re going to have a second chance before the year is out. The game is heading to both the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and it’s going to be doing it in style.

Ghostrunner for the current big two will include all previously release DLC, including the Kill Run Mode and the game’s Photo Mode. That’s always a crowd-pleaser. As for the actual visual upgrades, you can expect “post-processing HDR, ray tracing fidelity mode, 3D audio, Haptic feedback for the PlayStation 5 and more”. Oh, and instant loading and 4K/120fps. No, that’s not a typo.

Look for Ghostrunner on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 28th, in both physical and digital flavors. And don’t forget that the game is coming to the Switch also, and will be arriving on June 29th.
