Hasbro reveals new Marvel Legends deluxe Maestro figure

It’s Future Imperfect time in the Marvel Legends action figure series, as Hasbro has announced a brand new future-Hulk. Yep, the Maestro is back.

Strongest there is

Though he’s been brought back in the comics a few times since his debut, The Maestro has never been more impactful than in that original 1992 story. Yeah, it was a while back, but the Peter David and George Perez classic has become an absolute icon since. If your’e talking about the best Hulk tales of all time, yeah it has to be in there.

If you haven’t seen it, or somehow don’t know who The Maestro is, it’s pretty simple. The Maestro is a future version of the Hulk, one that’s been driven mad and has laid siege to the entire world, dominating it. The tale involves the “Professor” version of the Hulk being brought to the far-future, and meeting this twisted version of himself.

Of course, fireworks ensue. It’s a fantastic story from one of the best Hulk scribes ever in David, and is loaded with action. And of course, there’s an abundance of excellent Perez art too.

And that story is just what Hasbro is playing off of with the company’s latest Marvel Legends announcement. It’s none other The Maestro, in his most iconic visage. And it’s going to be a big-boy.

While there’s no specific size given in the new listing, he’s clearly more along the lines of the recent “Monster” Venom and Juggernaut releases. So he should be a hefty bit of plastic.

Priced in at $29.99 USD, The Maestro is set to ship in August of this year. You can pre-order him right now as well, from our sponsors over at Entertainment Earth. As usual, if you do then BG will receive a small commission from your purchase.

Oh, and speaking of Juggernaut, the X-Men 2pack that included both him and the classic Colossus is getting a re-release. That’s great news for anyone who missed it the first time around, as both are excellent figures.

That’ll be landing in June according to Entertainment Earth’s listing, and will be priced at $59.99 USD.
